How do I get into the apprenticeship program?
A.
Secure and complete the paperwork in an information packet from the nearest Local Union hall or training center. It contains a list of contractors to seek employment from, and a sample Intent-to-Hire letter. Your hiring contractor and the union’s business representative each sign that letter. Applicant then comes to training center on Tuesday or Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with his letter, $42.00, and photo ID to sign paperwork and join the program. The rest is explained to the applicant when filling out paperwork and week of orientation.
